Abstract

The Industrial Capitalism has developed technics to model useful bodies and velvet subjectivities. In modern times the teleinformatics and biotechnology are conjoint by digitalization pretending to achieve radical mutations: suppressing distances, illness, elderness, even death. The human body minimalized to a data processing system and genetic data bank becomes useless. New techno-sciences point to a hybridation with deedless materials and gene manipulation with the faustic vocation of overcoming natural limits.

Paula Sibilia on her book “The post organic man” explains how a technology and informatics crosslink simplifies the human complex and is the foundation for new control forms of the postindustrial capitalism, starting from Focault’s notion of biopower. Sibilia makes an analysis of the philosophical basis of modern technologies, decoding its political, social and ethic articulations, to finally postulate the persistence and resistance of the organic.

This essay takes Sibilia’s postulate to analyze the possibilities of beauty for the postorganic man.
